Facilitated Study Groups

Put what you learn in HD 120 into action!

Research says that excellent students study two hours for every hour spent in the classroom; this means that a fulltime student should study for roughly thirty hours per week. Homeroom allows for ONE of those hours to be completed within a structure that’s designed for success. As part of the 2-credit TRiO HD 120 class,  it is designed for intensive group, individual, and/or tutor assisted studying and the practical application of information presented in the lecture component of HD 120. Where a reasonable amount of work can be done in about an hour, the majority of your studying will be done outside of the classroom.

The hope is that after experiencing Homeroom, you will utilize the structure provided in order to manage your studying outside of the classroom, too.  To get started, register for the next section of TRiO’s HD 120 class.
