COMPASS Retesting Preparation

Would you like to be placed in a higher math and/or English class? You may be able to retake the COMPASS assessment exam for placement into a higher math or English class! Consider retesting if you fall within the following categories.

• You were assessed into Math 097 or below and/or you were assessed into English 073

To prepare participants for re-testing and scoring higher on the COMPASS exam, TRiO now offers a link to a tutorial on successful studying techniques and practice COMPASS exams, and the ability to sit down with a math and/or English tutor to review skills needed to succeed on the COMPASS.  Topics covered include:

• Techniques for successfully approaching the exam
• Concepts and questions that may appear on the exam
• A refresher on concepts and questions you may have forgotten (if it has been a while since you have taken a math or English class)
