Although BC is just minutes away from the shopping, entertainment and services available in downtown Bellevue and downtown Seattle, the campus sits in seclusion amidst a perimeter of towering fir trees and offers many green spaces through the campus for student leisure.
Located in front of the Student Services Building, the loop makes an easy drop-off point for students. The heart of the loop is a flagpole, the site of annual festivities to honor veterans.
The central courtyard, just outside the Student Union Building, is a primary student gathering place. Flowers and grassy expanses make the courtyard a relaxing and pleasant place to hang out. Benches and picnic tables are placed throughout the area. The silvery crown of the BC Planetarium, on top of the B Building, adds a scenic touch to this area when looking east.
Located between the R and L buildings, the North Coiurtyard, with its shade trees and picnic tables, is another popular student hangout.
