The BC dance class curriculum is designed around basic techniques of Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz. Proficiency attained in these classes allows students to adapt to multiple styles of choreography and ultimately to enhance their personal artistic exploration. The program is designed to engage beginners and continuing students and there are options for those with advanced ability. All Level I classes may be taken by students with no previous dance training, as well as students who are continuing. Level II classes include those who have completed the BC Level I class or the equivalent in previous training. Advanced students will be challenged to excel on a higher level or may audition for the Bellevue College Dance Company 201-203. Questions regarding placement should be addressed to Tammi Doyle at: firstname.lastname@example.org. If a class is full, students may waitlist the desired class and attend on the first day when Blue Cards can be given to allow registration.
A dance class is the perfect choice to de-stress, build confidence, become more flexible and integrate mental and physical abilities.
The Dance department offers courses in Ballet, Contemporary Dance and Jazz Technique. Some classes may be taken for either Dance credit or PE credit. Students in Dance Ensemble classes perform as the Bellevue College Dance Company.
