Here is a quick update on what’s been going on with BC2Eco-Office Survey. If anyone needs a refresher as to what BC2 stands for, it is ‘Bellevue College x Beyond Conservation = BC2’. This program was developed to monitor the level of sustainability maintained in campus offices. Student auditors examine the office buildings on campus and then provide a detailed report about their observations and recommendations on the areas that could be improved.
The first completed audit was for Student Programs. A report was delivered to Faisal Jaswal the Assistant Dean of Student Programs & his staff. They were very receptive and proactive about the recommendations. A couple of the good points were that student programs had 100% of their employees routinely print double sided and 91% remembered to turn off their computers after work.
The following office spaces in buildings B, L, N, and S are being surveyed this month. So get ready and remember to keep your office environment sustainable!
