Digital Media Arts (formerly known as Digital Communication) is a program designed for students interested in studying the creation, use, and management of high-quality digital media content. The primary focus is on the application of digital tools to create videos, games, 3D animations, screen designs and digital graphics in a project-based, hands-on learning environment. Course work prepares graduates to work as freelancers or in a variety of industries as digital media creators and content managers.

Class of Fall 2011 (and after):
Beginning with the class entering Fall 2011, IBIT’s Digital Media program will award a single Associate of Arts degree in Digital Media Arts. Specialization will occur through guided selection of electives after students complete a required core set of courses. Only students entering the Digital Media program Fall 2011 or later will be required to complete the degree requirements and guidelines for an AA in Digital Media Arts; only these students should follow the DMA degree requirements.
