You’ll use two primary accounts to access college services and records. Here’s a quick introduction.
Your BC NetID provides you log-in credentials to access many online, desktop and networking services. Your NetID is a combination of a username and password which is created online once you’ve been issued your student SID and PIN.
Your student system identification number is commonly referred to as your SID. Your SID is issued to you directly after you are admitted to the college. Your SID is your unique identifier in college records and you’ll use it to log in to register for classes, access your grades, class schedule, pay fees or tuition and a few other services. Your SID is issued along with a PIN. The PIN (short for personal identification number) and serves as a password you use in combination with your SID. You should protect your PIN just as you would any bank or debit card PIN.
If you’re taking classes through BC Continuing Education, you also receive a SID and PIN. If you aren’t sure what your SID and PIN numbers are, contact the Continuing Education main office and request this information.
