“
The Interior Design Program at BC is highly interactive. For our studio classes, we regularly pin-up our work for critique by our classmates and the instructor. They bring up considerations we’ve left out, provide feedback on our work and make suggestions for improvement.
”We as students also take it upon ourselves to connect online through Facebook to post and comment on inspirational images, scans of our work, and ideas for each other’s projects.
“Another aspect of interaction at BC is being exposed to industry professionals. Local Architects and Designers speak about their process and learning experiences. This really helps students see the significance of following the design process taught in the program and how it is used in real applications.
“Often times, instructors will also invite members of the Architect and Designer community to be guest critics in our mid-term and final project pin-ups. This reinforces the methods taught by the instructor and pushes us to have strong design concepts that we can explain both graphically and verbally.
“I am grateful to Bellevue College for fostering an interactive environment that will help prepare me for my career.”
