The US Department of Transportation (USDOT) invites female students at Bellevue College to apply for this summer’s internship program. The purpose of the Women and Girls Internship is to increase awareness of transportation-related opportunities among women and girls, including women of color and those with disabilities. This program provides women and girls with quality educational experiences to advance their careers and help the become the nation’s future transportation leaders and future transportation-related entrepreneurs.
Qualified female students accepted into the program will be placed in transportation related internships with state departments of transportation, transit agencies, aviation authorities, banks participating in DOT’s Short Term Lending Program, transportation related technical assistance centers, and private businesses.
Accepted students must work 40 hours per week over the summer. Interns will receive a stipend of $5000 for their work.
